One Myers-Briggs® Celebrity INTP Personality Type is theoretical physicist Albert Einstein.

By examining his life and body of work, we can see how he personifies the qualities of the Myers-Briggs Test INTP Personality Type.

MBTI Test INTP Types value creative freedom, tend to work best alone, and sometimes find it difficult to focus on routine tasks. (Myers, CPP. 1998)

During Einstein’s earlier learning phase at the Luitpold Gymnasium, he clashed with authorities and felt that their teaching methods limited creative thought. Later in life, when Einstein received his U.S. Citizenship in 1940, he praised the U.S. system for encouraging creativity.

INTP Personality Types are also known for communicating and expressing themselves using their Thinking preference. They like to create an understanding of the world by developing underlying principles and logical structures that relate to it. Their Introverted preference leads them toward becoming independent problem solvers. (Myers, CPP. 1998)

Albert Einstein may be the poster boy for the INTP Type in this respect, famously developing his general theory of relativity as well as his mass-energy equivalence formula E = mc2 , both of which have helped shape the study of physics.

The INTP Personality Type also has a preference for Intuition and tends to orientate toward future possibilities. This preference allows the INTP Type to make connections and see possibilities that are beyond the present and obvious. Combined with the previous preference for Thinking, this duality can lead to the potential development of groundbreaking theories. (Myers, CPP. 1998)

This preference, when combined with Albert Einstein’s advanced intelligence, allowed him to develop the aforementioned far-reaching theories, among others, that would be pivotal in the establishment of Quantum Theory.

One obstacle for INTP Personality Types, and Albert Einstein especially, is that they often want to express the exact truth. Unfortunately, they can often make it so complex that the average individual has difficulty understanding it. This is especially the case of individuals with genius level intelligence, such as Albert Einstein. It is no surprise that the term “genius” is synonymous with “Albert Einstein.” (Myers, CPP. 1998)

Myers-Briggs® Famous INTP Personality Type Paul Allen

Author: Miles Harris

Author: Miles Harris

Myers-Briggs INTP Personality Types are known for being independent problem solvers who specialize in providing logic-based concise analysis of situations. (Myers, CPP. 1998)

Famous Myers-Briggs INTP Personality Type Paul Allen is the less well-known co-founder of Microsoft. While Bill Gates ended up being the figure head of the company, Paul Allen was instrumental in the business deals that would created the foundation for what would become one of the most successful technological companies in the world. Although a bout with cancer led to him stepping away from a main role in the company, he used his strength of logical analysis to invest in numerous successful ventures, including real estate, professional sports teams, and tech companies.

The MBTI Test INTP Type is also known for highly valuing intelligence and competence. Although generally preferring to work out problems alone, Paul Allen was smart enough to notice the potential strengths in pairing with then collegiate friend Bill Gates for planning to launch Microsoft. This move was the precursor to all of his future successes. (Myers, CPP. 1998)

Myers-Briggs® Famous INTP Personality Type Tina Fey

Author: Gage Skidmore

Author: Gage Skidmore

INTP Personality Types are generally known for being quiet and reserved, but when it comes to areas that they are knowledgeable in, they can be much more talkative. (Myers, CPP. 1998)

Famous Myers-Briggs INTP Personality Type Tina Fey is a great example of a comedian and writer that naturally is more likely to stand back and observe people as opposed to taking part in expressive antics, but like a natural INTP, she is capable of stepping up and performing within her specialty. When it comes to performing her comedy, whether it’s on Saturday Night Live or in her movies like Baby Mama and Date Night, she is able to step up and give an expressive performance that could be mistaken for that of an extravert.

The MBTI Test INTP Type is also known for being mentally quick and ingenious. Tina Fey proved her mental quickness early in her career when she was part of an improvisational comedy group. After this initial experience, she made her way onto Saturday Night Live, where her talent as an ingenious comedian was put to good use working first as a writer and eventually as head writer on the show.
