Foreign Language and Literature Teachers are responsible for teaching courses in languages and literatures other than English, including American Sign Language (ASL) or other languages spoken around the world. In order to successfully teach these courses, Foreign Language and Literature Teachers must complete many different administrative, planning, and pedagogical tasks, including but not limited to preparing course materials (such as syllabi, homework assignments, presentation materials, and handouts), evaluating and providing feedback on students work (including class participation, assignments, and papers), and moderating classroom discourse.
