What’s New About the Strong Interest Inventory 244 Profile

The new Strong Interest Inventory 244 Profile provides a modern, research‑backed way to explore how your interests connect to occupations and academic majors. Powered by the newest version of the Strong assessment, this profile is gender‑neutral and draws on an expanded set of careers and majors to deliver personalized, actionable guidance.

This edition of the Strong profile introduces several enhancements that make the assessment more inclusive and insightful than ever:

  • A complete Gender-Neutral assessment. No gender demographic is collected or used in scoring , making the profile suitable for everyone.
  • Similarity scores are provided for an individual’s Top 100 occupations drawn from a pool of 321 occupations compared with 130 in the classic Strong assessment . This broader database enables deeper career exploration.
  • For the first time, the report includes similarity scores for the Top 100 academic majors. These are drawn from a set of 177 majors, giving respondents more insight into programs of study.
  • The Strong 244 assessment consists of 244 questions, reduced from 291, making it quicker to complete while retaining depth.
  • The report includes an enhanced consistency index designed to identify inconsistent or atypical response patterns, supporting more accurate and dependable results.
  • Incorporates a single-letter Theme Code to flat profiles. This helps clarify interest patterns when scores are closely aligned and making results easier to interpret.
  • The assessment adds two new Basic Interest Scales—Conservation & Environmentalism and Hospitality & Tourism—broadening coverage of emerging and people-centered career areas.
