The Strong Interest Inventory® is a career, college and/or High School based assessment that is used to find your best matched career, college and/or high School curriculum, while The Myers Briggs Type Indicator® is a personality assessment that has multiple uses, including career exploration, personal growth, self-assessment, leadership and team building assessing among other purposes.
Along with the multitude of uses of the Myers-Briggs®, it is often used alongside with the Strong Interest Inventory® within a combination report to gain a full personality and interest pattern view of your top occupations in which you would feel fulfilled and content.
The Strong Interest Inventory® Assessment compares your highest interests to those person’s interests in given careers. When your interests match such persons in certain careers, the premise is that you would also be content in those careers, being that you share similar interests. Not only would one benefit from having shared interests in the day-to-day activities of a job or career, though additionally, that you would have general shared interests and values with your co-workers, providing you with a further sense of community and fulfillment.
The Myers-Briggs® provides you with a four-letter personality type based on eight dichotomies including:
• E-I Extraversions versus Introversion
• S-N Sensing versus Intuition
• T-F Thinking versus Feeling
• J-P Judging versus Perceiving
It is your four-letter personality type (MBTI®) with the addition of your interest patterns (Strong Interest Inventory®) that provides you with an unmatched lens into your career pursuits.
